Fantasy Football Must Start No. 2: Seahawks Running Back Chris Carson

The Niners have allowed over 100 rush yards in each of their three games this season. And while they haven’t allowed a pure 100-yard rusher yet, one can see why fantasy football owners of Seahawks running back Chris Carson might want to get him in their lineups for Week 4.

Carson, who already has three touchdowns on the season, isn’t likely to generate a lot of help in the receiving game, negating his value in PPR leagues to a point. But he’s also averaging 4.9 yards per carry.

That figures to be a prime opportunity against a San Francisco defense surrendering 4.7 yards per rush, which ranks 27th in the league through three weeks.

Despite Seattle being a pass-heavy team thus far in 2021, Carson is going to see his share of carries.

And if the Seahawks manage to get out to a decent lead at any point of the game, look for Carson to be the primary factor in grinding down the clock with a lot of work on the ground. Even if this doesn’t happen, Seattle will want to spare its vulnerable defense and run the ball to maintain control of the clock, too.

That’ll likely make for a big fantasy day.
