49ers game today: 49ers vs. Packers injury report, spread, over/under, schedule, live stream, TV channel
By Peter Panacy
The 49ers host the Packers in a prime-time Sunday Night Football bout for Week 3, and Niner Noise breaks down injuries, betting info and how to watch.
In what some would argue is their first true test of 2021, the San Francisco 49ers kick off their Week 3 contest against the 1-1 Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football for the Niners’ home opener at Levi’s Stadium.
Coming off back-to-back road wins to open up the year, San Francisco will look to improve to 3-0 by knocking off quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, who despite falling in Week 1 in ugly fashion to the New Orleans Saints, bounced back nicely with a win over the Detroit Lions last week on Monday Night Football.
The Niners will still have to bring their A-game against a team many still consider a top contender within the NFC.
49ers injury report vs. Packers Week 3
The following San Francisco players were listed on the team’s Week 3 injury report:
- DL Arik Armstead (adductor)
- DL Kevin Givens (ankle)
- RB JaMycal Hasty (ankle)
- RB Elijah Mitchell (shoulder)
- DT Javon Kinlaw (knee)
- CB Emmanuel Moseley (knee)
- RB Trey Sermon (head)
Hasty and Givens are likely to miss some time with high-ankle sprains, yet getting Mitchell and Sermon back from their Week 2 injuries helps provide a boost. Same with Moseley, who has been out the first two weeks of the year.
Additionally, Green Bay will be without two key starters, left tackle David Bakhtiari (knee) and EDGE Za’Darius Smith (back).
49ers vs. Chargers odds, spread, over/under & betting pick Week 3
San Francisco has been a steady 3.5-point favorite for this contest ever since the oddsmakers at WynnBET released the odds at the conclusion of Week 2. But if you understand how a home team is usually gifted three points, one could almost argue this is a “pick em” game.
But the moneyline still favors the Niners at -180.
The over/under for this game is at 50.0 points, while San Francisco’s point over/under is 26.5.
What channel is the 49ers game on Week 3?
Sunday’s contest will be the Niners’ first nationally televised game of the regular season, appearing on NBC’s Sunday Night Football with kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
