No. 1: 49ers Tight End George Kittle

While not as notable as Brandon Aiyuk, tight end George Kittle‘s slowish start has also been a small concern point over two weeks, as the All-Pro has just eight catches for 95 yards over two games and is coming off a four-catch Week 2 bout for a mere 17 yards.

Week 2 didn’t generate much offense for anyone, though, so it’s way too premature to worry about that.

Nevertheless, just like Aiyuk, the Niners will want to get Kittle impacting the game in more ways than just his phenomenal blocking.

If there’s good news, though, Kittle has found some notable success against the Packers during his career, recording 10 catches for 159 yards and a touchdown over two regular-season games played.

In Week 3, it’s likely Kittle is matched up with Green Bay safety Adrian Amos, who has allowed all six targets against him this season to go for catches, one of which was a touchdown.

Amos has been a quality safety for much of his career, but Kittle is still a mismatch. Especially considering the lack of other coverage options within the Packers secondary to assist.

If Kittle is going to have his first breakout game of 2021, look for it to be Week 3 against the Packers.
