No. 2: 49ers sack Aaron Rodgers four-plus times

Aaron Rodgers was able to engineer a decisive victory over a depleted 49ers squad in 2020, which was without its top two edge rushers in Nick Bosa and Dee Ford for almost the entirety of the season.

The year before, however, both Bosa and Ford were wrecking balls, helping pave the way to a whopping five sacks during the 2019 regular-season game in which Rodgers had a mere 104 yards passing.

The Niners won that contest, 37-8.

Bosa already has three sacks on the young season, a third of the way towards his rookie-year total of nine, and he’ll have the luxury of matching up opposite second-string Packers tackle Elgton Jenkins, who’s filling in on the left side for the injured David Bakhtiari.

Bosa and Ford might not get home each and every pass-rushing rep, of course. But forcing some early throws from Rodgers could lead to a would-be Deommodore interception, and it wouldn’t be shocking at all to see something of a repeat of the 2019 regular-season drubbing when San Francisco was piling up the sack totals.

If this works out in the 49ers’ favor, look out.
