No. 2: The leading receiver for the Roughriders is Kyran Moore, who has the physicality to make it for the 49ers

Remember when you played NFL on your gaming console and always used the juke move and hit stick? Roughriders wide receiver Kyran Moore is basically the combination of the two.

Moore isn’t the tallest player on the field, he stands at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds. But what he lacks in height, he makes up for it in toughness and finesse.

In 2019, he nearly topped the 1,000-yard receiving milestone (996) and had six touchdowns. So far this season, the soon-to-be 25-year-old, has 158 yards on 19 catches and two touchdowns.

A huge upside, and a key attribute that will certainly get him more NFL looks next offseason, is his play on special teams. In his career, he has 607 punt return yards and two career touchdowns. He also has five kickoff returns, but none this season. The Roughriders might be inclined to keep him fresh for their offence. Moore also has a field goal return for 40 yards this year.

Hot Read: Many familiar faces on 49ers opening practice squad

Before the CFL season began, Moore had a tryout with the New York Giants. According to Justin Dunk of 3DownNation, the Giants brass wanted to see Moore “bulk up.”

Of course, not playing in 2020 has significantly hurt many CFL players chances at cracking an NFL roster spot. However, with Canadian football at full stride now, you can bet players like Moore are getting looked at by many scouts as teams will need to alter their rosters as the season draws on.

Moore isn’t afraid of contact. In fact, he bounces off should-be tackles, scampers around flopping defensive backs, and can break ankles. He also brings a confident attitude and lots of swagger, which could match up well against some NFL defensive backs.

Saskatchewan is undefeated so far in 2021 and Moore is certainly one of the many reasons for it. You’ll certainly see him in an NFL uniform one day, hopefully with San Francisco.
