Nick Bosa, the 49ers’ star edge rusher, returns to the field this NFL season. Here are three bold predictions for what his 2021 could look like.

Perhaps no player was missed by the San Francisco 49ers last season more than EDGE Nick Bosa.

The Niners’ star pass-rusher tore his ACL in the second game of the 2020 season, due to the injury-inducing sorry excuse for an NFL field also known as MetLife Stadium. Bosa was coming off a rookie campaign where he proved he was more than ready to compete at the NFL level, won Defensive Rookie of the Year, and led his team to an NFC championship.

The sky was the limit in the eyes of fans going into the 2020 NFL season. NFL Legend Michael Irvin went as far as to pick the younger Bosa as his MVP prediction going into the yearAdmittedly, that one is probably too bold for even this article, but it does give some idea of the expectations for Bosa’s sophomore season.

Bosa was expected to continue where he left off terrorizing quarterbacks in his rookie year. But then, it all came crashing down with the ACL injury. Perhaps the 49ers could have had a successful season if not for the onslaught of injuries along with Bosa’s, but his injury stands out as a turning point in the disastrous 2020 campaign for San Francisco.

Now with Bosa back, the hype train has begun to build steam again. Bosa has been slowly working his way back to the field, and the glimpses of him fans have seen have been more than enough to stoke the flames of hype for what Bosa’s 2021 could be.

So with that in, this piece is here to ponder that question: What could Nick Bosa’s 2021 season be?

Let’s take a look at three bold predictions that may be more possible than they seem.
