In 2019, linebacker Fred Warner was making a name for himself as one of the NFL’s best up-and-coming linebackers, but his star status wasn’t exactly reaching beyond the levels of San Francisco’s fanbase.

Well, all that changed in 2020.

Warner, who received both Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro accolades last season in light of his exceptional play, is now fully recognized as one of the league’s best, if not the best linebacker heading into 2021.

Now boasting a Madden rating of 94, Warner is officially listed as the top linebacker with the best overall rating this season.

Fresh off a lucrative contract extension that makes him the highest-paid linebacker in the NFL with an average annual value of $19 million per season, Warner has been recognized for his outstanding playing abilities in more ways than one.
