49ers Linebacker Jeff Ulbrich

Just like Jared Allen, linebacker Jeff Ulbrich also attended Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, California.

Ulbrich began his college career at San Jose State before eventually transferring to Hawaii. The 49ers would select him in the 2000 NFL Draft in the third round (86th overall).

He played his full 10-year career with the 49ers and finished 10th overall in solo tackles for the franchise.

Not bad whatsoever.

Upon retirement, Ulbrich got into coaching. He would make it to the Super Bowl as a linebackers coach for the Atlanta Falcons in 2016.

In 2021 he joined the New York Jets as their defensive coordinator, which will be his first full season in such a capacity. There he will coach under former Niners defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, who enters his first head-coaching gig.
