Fantasy football: Brandon Aiyuk, 4 other wide receivers who break out

Fantasy Football Breakout No. 4: Jerry Jeudy, Broncos
There are a number of factors and X-factors that could ultimately determine if another 2020 first-round wide receiver, the Denver Broncos’ Jerry Jeudy, breaks out in a massive way this season.
For the most part, those factors center around Denver’s quarterback situation. While Jeudy catching passes from quarterback Drew Lock isn’t necessarily inspiring for a fantasy football WR1 candidate, things could change dramatically for Jeudy owners if one of two things happens:
- Lock feels the pressure from recently acquired Teddy Bridgewater and takes that next step
- The Broncos get bold and trade for an MVP-caliber quarterback like Aaron Rodgers or Deshaun Watson
The latter would make Jeudy’s fantasy value skyrocket, and both he and fellow wide receiver Courtland Sutton would suddenly become must-haves for any fantasy GMs out there.
What’s the likelier of the two situations, though, is Lock suddenly puts it all together and emerges as a halfway decent quarterback, and it isn’t as if Jeudy lacked success with Lock under center last year anyway, posting 856 yards on 52 receptions and three touchdowns — good for any WR2 or FLEX role on a fantasy football roster.
Right now, Jeudy’s ADP is 8.02, but that value would change dramatically if Denver makes an upgrade at quarterback between now and Week 1.
