The 49ers have the talent to send a lot of players to the Pro Bowl after 2021, and our predictions suggest these six will be in line.

It’s not a hard theory to grasp: Good teams have good players, and good players are the favorite to make the Pro Bowl each and every year.

True, last year’s COVID-19 season physically shut down the NFL’s annual all-star game, meaning there were no opt-outs or players gearing up for the Super Bowl. As such, rosters were pretty much limited to those selected, no alternates or replacements for those not wishing to actually partake in the game itself.

The San Francisco 49ers, despite finishing 6-10 last season, still managed to send three representatives to the non-game Pro Bowl: linebacker Fred Warner, fullback Kyle Juszczyk and left tackle Trent Williams.

Not surprising, honestly, as all three have a Pro Bowl-type pedigree.

The Niners could have an increase in Pro Bowl players this year, though, especially if the game is actually played and there are more alternates.

Here are six who should be top candidates to make the cut.

No. 6: 49ers Fullback Kyle Juszczyk

Juszczyk almost gets in as a de facto Pro Bowler by default, given there isn’t exactly any competition at a position many NFL thinkers believe is going the way of the dinosaurs.

Perhaps only the Cleveland Browns‘ Andy Janovich threatens Juszczyk as a leading fullback vote-getter, and Janovich is in a different conference anyway. Just to point things out, Janovich received just over 140,000 Pro Bowl votes last year compared to Juszczyk’s 257,000.

Not even close, at least as far as fullbacks go.

This helps explain why Juszczyk has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last five seasons. As long as he stays healthy, there’s little reason to assume this won’t be the case again.

And even if Juszczyk winds up missing a good chunk of 2021 because of injury, there’s still an awfully good chance he beats out whatever competition at the position will be out there.
