No. 4: Early Sunday Night Football tilt vs. Packers may determine where 49ers finish in the NFC

Home opener on Sunday Night Football against a Green Bay Packers team who is slowly crumbling in front of 49ers fans eyes is a great way to begin the 2021 Levi’s Stadium schedule.

As previously mentioned, these NFC ones and done games can literally make or break a playoff berth and positioning.

Especially against the Packers.

It’s a bit unfortunate this game has to happen so early in the season, but it’s a prime opportunity for the Niners to dismantle a team who’s struggling to find their identity.

Of course, this is still the Packers. No matter what’s going on within the organization, they’re a proud franchise and will certainly play a tight, physical game.

The Week 12 match in 2019 could be déjà vu for the Packers. A healthy San Francisco defense with EDGE Nick Bosa, a revamped offensive line, and a team hungry to erase 2020, could bring back serious flashbacks to Green Bay.

It’s only Week 3, but playoffs will be heated on the back burner for sure.
