The 49ers made some very interesting picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, as the team looks to return to the Super Bowl sooner rather than later.

It’s absolutely no secret to any San Francisco 49ers fan out there, that’s there’s no such thing as a perfect NFL Draft.

Although the team has drafted reasonably well in the Kyle Shanahan/John Lynch era and even uncovered some gems later on in the draft, such as the All-Pro pair of tight end George Kittle and linebacker Fred Warner, they’ve also had some misses such as defensive lineman Solomon Thomas and linebacker Reuben Foster.

This year’s draft crop is an interesting mix of pairing up three different positions in cornerback, running back and guard. Add in a safety and a brand new potential franchise quarterback, and it’s certainly one of the more intriguing drafts we’ve had in a while.

Every draft has its share of the good picks, bad picks and the most intriguing. What’s bad, good or otherwise right now may not be the same as five years down the line, but it’s a fun exercise to look at the team and wonder what’s going on.

Of course, something like this is subjective. People like different players and have different philosophies about drafting. I don’t expect this article to reflect the opinions of everyone, but it’s just my personal opinion. I will endeavor to do my best in explaining every picks I do cover as good, bad or intriguing.

So, with that in mind, let’s take a look at the picks that look good, are puzzling or just plain makes you wonder what’s going on.
