NFL Draft Pick No. 14: Rashawn Slater, Offensive Lineman, Northwestern

With Riley Reiff leaving the Minnesota Vikings, the question is how will the Minnesota Vikings replace him as they seek to make the playoffs again in 2021.

I listed Rashawn Slater as an offensive lineman rather than a given position, given he’s able to play in essentially any position along the trenches.

There are some questions about Slater if he is a tackle or an interior lineman for the NFL, but the Vikings could always try him at left tackle and then kick him inside if it doesn’t work out.

Slater isn’t the strongest offensive lineman, but he has the speed to keep up with EDGEs and the technique to keep them out. He might be the savviest lineman not named Penei Sewell here.
