SF 49ers: 10 wide receivers to target in 2021 NFL Draft

SF 49ers Target No. 3: Rondale Moore, Purdue
Size isn’t necessarily something Kyle Shanahan prioritizes for his wide receivers, meaning a second-round grade on someone like the 5-foot-9, 180-pound Rondale Moore out of Purdue doesn’t knock him out of the running for the Niners’ first day-two selection on draft day.
Moore is an enticing prospect for a number of reasons. As far as explosiveness, he has it. And just like Kadarius Toney, Moore can be used in a variety of ways, either as a movable slot receiver or even someone to execute jet sweeps out of the backfield.
And with San Francisco putting a priority on creating yards after the catch, few in this year’s class have better potential than Moore in this category.
A problem, though, is Moore doesn’t have a clean slate of health on his side. After an impressive 1,258-yard campaign in 2018, Moore was limited to just seven games the last two seasons combined. While his explosiveness was still there those last two years, the injury concern is something the SF 49ers would have to worry about.
Still, Moore’s upside can’t be ignored as long as the Niners are willing to take the risk on his injury history.
