No. 5: Denver Broncos

This would actually make a lot of sense for both sides.

It’s no secret the Denver Broncos aren’t too convinced with their current quarterback situation and might be looking to replace current signal-caller, Drew Lock, after a less-than-stellar sophomore year.

Jimmy Garoppolo may not be seen as a long-term answer, but he would provide stability for the Broncos while they rebuild their current roster. The Broncos receiving corps is also quite stacked, which would give Jimmy G a number of quality pass catchers to work with.

True, the Broncos own the No. 9 overall pick in the NFL Draft and could always go that route. But Denver hasn’t had much luck in recent years picking first-round quarterbacks, and the pressure could be on to land someone with at least some starter’s pedigree.

There’s an obvious relationship between John Lynch, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan and the Broncos brass, so this would probably be a phone call the Niners front office at least answers out of courtesy.

This would be quite an interesting move if the Broncos were gutsy enough to do it.
