The SF 49ers roster in 2021 might be in good shape after NFL free agency and even before the draft. Niner Noise takes an all-too-early stab at who makes the cut.

With NFL free agency out of its initial burst upon the start of the league year, the SF 49ers can begin to look toward the 2021 NFL Draft.

I, however, am going to skip over those projections completely and begin to take a look at who might make the final 53-man roster for the 2021 Niners.

On one level, such an exercise seems futile, since the team holds nine picks in the upcoming draft, and who is drafted where will have a massive impact on who makes the roster once OTAs, training camp, and whatever amounts to preseason this year are all completed.

But on the other hand, looking this far into the future does allow us the opportunity to see where the SF 49ers still might have holes to fill as they move into the second wave of free agency and into the draft itself.

These projections are obviously based on what is known about the roster at this current moment with a slight erring on the side of caution in terms of free agents and using indications of where the draft might go by designating rookie slots as needed, although I haven’t gone as far as to dictate where San Francisco might draft these various positions.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at the far-too-early projection for the SF 49ers’ 2021 53-man roster.
