2021 NFL Draft: 49ers bulk up secondary in full Round 1 mock

2021 NFL Draft: Lions (via Broncos) select linebacker Micah Parsons, Penn State
Pick a spot on the Lions roster, and chances are there’s a need for an upgrade.
Especially on defense, where Detroit should look for some help at all three levels. First-year head coach Dan Campbell will have his hands full trying to turn around a defensive unit that was near the bottom in the league in every important category in 2020.
The Lions could go in one of a number of different directions here. But one of the safest and potentially best long-term additions would be to add Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons, who is one of the best off-ball linebacker prospects seen in recent years.
A true defensive captain in essentially every sense, a player of Parson’s ilk could have the same kind of effect on Detroit’s defense that former 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis had back in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
That’s the kind of presence the Lions need, and Parsons fits the bill nicely.
