2021 NFL Draft: Bears select wide receiver Kadarius Toney, Florida
Bears head coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace are going to be under a lot of pressure to upgrade the offense in 2021, particularly in the wake of the eventual “bidding farewell” to the team’s first-round pick from 2017, quarterback Mitchell Trubisky.
Ideally, Chicago would have been in a position to land Mac Jones, but Washington thwarted that possibility.
Instead, the Bears look to build up the weaponry surrounding whoever else will be under center in 2021 by adding Florida wide receiver Kadarius Toney.
Much of this selection will hinge on what Chicago does with veteran wide receiver Allen Robinson. But even if Robinson returns, a player like Toney would massively improve what was otherwise a lackluster Chicago pass-catching corps last season
Toney might be a bit raw and will need some refinement. Yet his raw abilities suggest he could be a massive star in the making.
