2021 NFL Draft: Cardinals select wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, Alabama

Some team is going to find itself a steal with Alabama wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.

While Waddle was overshadowed by DeVonte Smith, largely because the former only appeared in six games for the Crimson Tide last season, there shouldn’t be any doubts about the former being able to impact the field as a legitimate deep threat.

And that’s what the Arizona Cardinals need to pair with their superstar wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins.

Hopkins’ potency would be made that much better if the Cardinals had a reliable No. 2 option on the field, both taking pressure off Hopkins and giving quarterback Kyler Murray yet another much-needed weapon at his disposal.

Hopefully, the 49ers would end up having enough defensive firepower to contend with receivers like Hopkins and Waddle in the coming years.
