SF 49ers Round 7 picks (including one from Jets)

872. . Linebacker. Horned Frogs . Garrett Wallow. 194. player

With their sixth and seventh available pick in the draft, including the No. 194 selection acquired from the Jets, the SF 49ers select Garrett Wallow, linebacker out of TCU, and Tarron Jackson, EDGE out of Coastal Carolina.

Both players are defenders the Niners would presumably use as depth pieces, but could also be of great use to an often injured defensive unit.

Particularly in the case with Jackson, as San Francisco already sent its second-best pass-rusher, Dee Ford, off to the Texans in the initial trade for Deshaun Watson. Even if Jackson wasn’t intended to be a featured piece, putting him in a position to be a rotational pass-rusher wouldn’t hurt matters at all.

This entire situation is one of dreams opinion, as acquiring Watson would take a lot of luck and a lot of assets to make happen. But if it did shake out this way, the SF 49ers would be built to dominate for years to come while still being able to fill some of their biggest needs through the 2021 draft.
