SF 49ers mock NFL Draft after would-be trade for Deshaun Watson
An SF 49ers mock NFL Draft for the ages
Mock drafts are always tough, so we’ll do our best to be as realistic as possible here. After the above trade, the SF 49ers are now left with the following picks:
- Round 2
- Round 3 (compensatory
- Round 4 (from Texans)
- Round 5 (from Saints)
- Round 6
- Round 7 (from Jets)
- Round 7
SF 49ers Round 2 pick (No. 43 overall)
With their first available pick in the draft, the SF 49ers select Shaun Wade, cornerback out of Ohio State.
Of course the Niners will miss out on some of the top-end corners available in this draft, but Wade is still a great corner, who is consistently considered one of the top-eight corners in this class and will be able to fill one of the Niners’ more glaring needs right away.
He will potentially be a staple in San Francisco’s defense for years to come, and the 49ers would be ecstatic to get a player of Wade’s talent in the middle of the second round.
