The 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl could have changed the SF 49ers’ minds when it comes to evaluating top talent for this year’s NFL Draft.

The SF 49ers have plenty of top needs this offseason as they prepare for what’s going to be a crucial NFL Draft.

Owning the No. 12 overall pick, general manager John Lynch and Co. could go one in many different directions, perhaps landing a quarterback to replace their current starter, Jimmy Garoppolo.

But the 2021 draft class is awfully top-heavy with quarterbacking talent, and there may not be too many likable targets when the Niners’ first number is called, barring a lucrative trade-up package. And with those other needs on the table, too, it’s possible San Francisco addresses other needs instead.

One of the latest elements of evaluation, the 2021 Reese’s Senior Bowl, could provide Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan with additional resources of information. There were plenty of risers and fallers from the contest, including quarterbacks who could potentially be in consideration even if the SF 49ers commit to Garoppolo for at least one more season.

A number of prospects could have improved their day-three status after the events in Mobile, Alabama. But for the purpose of this mock draft, Niner Noise explores what could happen over the first three rounds where the Niners are currently expected to hold three picks, one in each round.

With that, let’s kick off a three-round mock with San Francisco doing something else than grabbing a quarterback with the No. 12 overall pick.
