Power ranking all 9 SF 49ers quarterbacks in team playoff history

No. 6: Jeff Garcia
SF 49ers Playoff Win-Loss Record: 1-2
There are plenty of Niners quarterbacks who put forth one of those games that’ll be broadcasted on NFL Network’s vault of great games in league history.
Quarterback Jeff Garcia‘s wild Wild Card comeback win over the NY Giants in January of 2003 was epic. With San Francisco trailing 38-14 towards the end of the third quarter, it was looking as if Garcia was going to a 0-2 playoff record after losing the year before to the Packers.
But that was before Garcia and wide receiver Terrell Owens took off, eventually leading the SF 49ers to a stunning 39-38 win and one of the best contests to take place at Candlestick Park.
Too bad that was Garcia’s lone postseason victory with San Francisco, and he would falter in his next playoff appearance the following week where he’d toss three interceptions against no touchdowns versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Just like the next player on this list, though, Garcia’s memorable game cements him forever into Niners lore.
