No. 2: Hey Santa, SF 49ers fans… again. Any chance the team can return home and we can be in the stands in 2021?

The SF 49ers pulled up to their new home in Arizona in a rusted old RV like cousin Eddie in the classic Christmas Vacation.

“Don’t you be falling in love with it, we’re taking it with us when we leave next month,” the SF 49ers organization probably told the Cardinals.

Well, with the Niners officially eliminated from the playoffs, they will be leaving Arizona after their final “home” game against the Seattle Seahawks in January.

But, if you’ve ever been to an SF 49ers game at Levi’s Stadium you know “there’s no place like home.” And the Niners just want to go home and stay there.

Since playing in Arizona, San Francisco hasn’t won a game. And with the Cardinals and Seahawks up next, there’s a chance the streak continues.

Not only did the Niners leave their own stadium behind, but many also had to leave their apartments, families, and friends, and whatever else makes them feel at home in the Bay Area. It’s been a challenge for an already challenged team.

Numerous players are active in the Bay Area community and are missing the charities they help with during the holidays. Though everyone has gone virtual this season, there’s nothing like seeing kids smile as they meet their favorite player and receive a gift from them.

With the hopefulness of a new vaccine, there’s lots of optimism there will be fans at all NFL games in 2021.

Being a cardboard cutout for one game was fun, but we certainly hope to see you at Levi’s Stadium when it’s safe to do so!
