The SF 49ers playing against a team of equal ineptitude in the Dallas Cowboys lost 41-33. Niner Noise has grades from the contest.

The SF 49ers were clinging to faint hopes of a playoff run, but a win versus the Dallas Cowboys was absolutely necessary to even come close to such a chance.

Following a poor showing in Week 14 against the Washington Football Team, all eyes were on quarterback Nick Mullens, whom had reportedly been given a short leash for the game by head coach Kyle Shanahan.

The Niners defense played fairly well in what turned into an ugly Week 15 road loss to the lowly Dallas Cowboys. But four turnovers and special teams gaffes simply decimated any chance the SF 49ers had of winning, with a final score of 41-33.

It was just another disappointing loss in a season filled with frustration, bad luck, and overall disappointment.

However, this game really comes down to the performance of three or four major position groups floundering, while the others attempted to lift them up.

The grades might not fit the box score, but I feel they represent the way the game went. Let’s begin.
