Today’s NFC showdown between the Niners and the Washington Football Team kicks off on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2020, at 4:25 p.m. ET at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ. The SF 49ers will play their home games in Arizona Cardinals’ home stadium for the foreseeable future.

This afternoon’s game has playoff implications for both teams, as Washington is currently tied with the New York Giants for first place in the NFC East, while San Francisco is one game out of the NFC’s final wild-card spot.

Today also marks the return of the 49ers’ one-time quarterback Alex Smith, who has fought his way back from a life-threatening injury to the football field.
