No. 4: SF 49ers Must Get Healthy

It all begins here.

Since the season-ending injuries to defensive ends Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas in Week 2 against the New York Jets, the team has endured perhaps the greatest string of catastrophic injuries in a season in the NFL’s storied history.

You could field an entire offense and defense with the team’s injury list. It has surpassed 124 total player games lost this season, far and away the highest in the league. Great coaching can mask some player injuries, but at this point, it would take a Herculean effort to keep this squad in playoff contention.

So, it goes without saying the first order of business is to simply get healthy. A healthy Bosa, tight end George Kittle, running back Raheem Mostert, wide receiver Deebo Samuel, and so on, will do wonders for the overall talent on the team.

Their presence on the field will make other players that much better.
