One of San Francisco’s unsung heroes from 2020 has been EDGE Kerry Hyder, who currently leads the team with 4.5 sacks.

More from Niner Noise

Signed to a one-year deal, the versatile Hyder is no guarantee to return next season, opening up yet another potential void on the SF 49ers’ defensive line depth chart. When paired with the possibility of Ronald Blair leaving, it would be worth it for the Niners to use at least two picks in the draft to supplement this all-important unit.

LSU defensive lineman Glen Logan is one of those versatile pieces capable of supporting the back end of the D-line depth chart.

Having moved inside from a traditional EDGE spot, the 6-foot-3, 339-pound defender could handle 1- or 3-techniques with relative ease, and the ability to put him on the outside could help, too.

Although it’s a far cry to think he’ll match his five-sack effort with the Tigers from 2018.

Still, Logan’s versatility should help San Francisco a lot, and he could stand to make the roster as a seventh-round pick.
