With injuries rampant on the SF 49ers so far and others not getting the job done, here are three players who could use more time versus the Patriots.

It’s starting to feel like every week the SF 49ers‘ season is on the brink.

The piling up of injuries and the less-than-dominant start to the year has put the Niners in a very precarious position. And that makes each game matter more than it might have during their 8-0 start to the 2019 season.

Sitting at 3-3 entering a trip to New England to take on the Patriots, the 49ers are certainly going to need to get to their Week 11 bye without taking on much more in the way of injury and with the best possible record in order to stay in the hunt for a slot in this year’s expanded playoff group.

That won’t be easy, with trips to the Seattle Seahawks, a Thursday night matchup at home against the Green Bay Packers, and the yearly pilgrimage to the New Orleans Saints scheduled prior to the break. But if the win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday showed anything, it’s that this SF 49ers team certainly has fight in it.

But losing players is going to ask a lot of the depth of this team, possibly even more than it already has, which means there are even more members of this SF 49ers squad that will be called upon in order to maintain success for this team and this season.

Let’s take a look at three players who will need to see the field more against New England, not just because of injuries, but also because these guys need more time to prove themselves as quality members of this team.
