The SF 49ers look to end a two-game losing streak on Sunday Night Football versus the Rams, and Niner Noise has your latest weather and injury reports.

Hopefully, the SF 49ers‘ two-game losing streak to the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins in Weeks 4 and 5 were mere anomalies — trends that hopefully end this upcoming Sunday when the Niners host their division rivals, the 4-1 Los Angeles Rams, for a prime-time Week 6 bout on Sunday Night Football.

One could argue the Rams went through last year what the currently 2-3 Niners are going through right now: a post-Super Bowl loss hangover, of sorts.

While head coach Sean McVay’s squad finished with a relatively lackluster 9-7 record in 2019 following up Los Angeles’ loss to the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl that season, San Francisco seems to be reeling from a number of setbacks of its own this year.

A key reason behind head coach Kyle Shanahan’s struggles, of course, has been the sheer number of injuries. And this simple stat reveals a lot:

SF 49ers Week 6 injury report

While San Francisco’s injured-reserve list is lengthy, the Week 6 injury report isn’t quite as bad as it has been in recent weeks:

  • LB Kwon Alexander (ankle): OUT
  • CB Dontae Johnson (groin): OUT
  • S Marcell Harris (ankle): questionable
  • CB Emmanuel Moseley (concussion): questionable
  • RB Jeff Wilson Jr. (calf): questionable

Moseley’s return from a head injury suffered in Week 4 is going to be key to watch, as his absence forced the Niners to promote cornerback Brian Allen off the practice squad against the Dolphins — results of which didn’t go well at all.

Meanwhile, veteran cornerback Richard Sherman (calf) remains on IR.

  • LB Ogbonnia Okoronkwo (elbow)
  • LB Micah Kiser (groin)

LA Rams vs. SF 49ers: Betting odds and lines

Considering the state of things for San Francisco five weeks into the season, injuries and otherwise, it’s not surprising to see the Niners listed as underdogs for this contest, although Week 6 marks the first time they’ve been listed as such this season.

Currently, according to the Action Network, the LA Rams are three-point favorites for this bout with 62 percent of public betting going to Los Angeles.

The over/under is listed at 51.5, while the best line for San Francisco is plus-150.
