The SF 49ers will look to take advantage of a scuffling Eagles team in Week 4, and these five players could have themselves a field day.

Just like the SF 49ers‘ Week 3 opponent, the New York Giants, the Philadelphia Eagles aren’t exactly boasting the league’s most eye-popping offense as they prepare to travel to Levi’s Stadium to face head coach Kyle Shanahan’s squad for a prime-time Week 4 matchup on Sunday Night Football.

The Eagles, 0-2-1, currently own the NFL’s 27th-ranked scoring offense and are dead last in average yards per pass attempt (4.6).

Yeah, that’s pretty bad. One has to think the schedule makers didn’t envision this scenario when they thought a Niners-Eagles matchup would be a nationally televised game fans everywhere would clamor to watch.

While San Francisco can relax a bit and not worry too much about quarterback Carson Wentz and a low-flying Philly offense, the Eagles defense actually enters the contest having given up the fifth-fewest overall yards on the season (992), meaning it could be tough for Shanahan’s offense to move the ball with regularity in Week 4.

But just like the SF 49ers and Giants in Week 3, where the scoring was relatively minimal in the first half, one might predict an overworked Philadelphia defense could eventually collapse after halftime, just like New York’s defense did the previous week. Perhaps that winds up being the X-factor again.

This is a contest the Niners should be able to win, but the question about how big the team wins is up in the air.

Yet if these five offensive players wind up going off for San Francisco in Week 4, fans could be treated to yet another blowout of a scuffling East Coast opponent.
