Three weeks into the 2020 season, let’s take a look at three SF 49ers players who should be on the trade block heading towards the NFL trade deadline.

The SF 49ers are looking surprisingly good three weeks into the regular season, boasting a 2-1 record to start the year in spite of a flurry of injuries to some key players on both sides of the ball. Despite losing star defensive end Nick Bosa for the season to a torn ACL, as well as a number of other key players being out with either short- or long-term injuries, the Niners have dominated their last two games, proving that they can still be a competitive team.

The SF 49ers are a great NFL team, and they can and should compete this season. However, every NFL roster usually needs a tweak or two midseason.

Last year, the Niners’ big midseason acquisition was trading for wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, picking him up from the Denver Broncos to bolster what was then an anemic receiving corps just before that year’s NFL trade deadline.

This season, perhaps the Niners will look at bringing in more defensive line depth due to injury or to strengthen up an oft-injured offensive line.

But let’s leave the speculation of whom San Francisco should trade for to another date and time. Instead, in this piece, let’s look at three players whom the 49ers should trade away as they make their midseason tweaks, free up roster spaces and shake up the depth chart between now and this year’s NFL trade deadline.

So, without further ado, here are three 49ers players who should be on the trade block.
