This season has been a roller-coaster ride so far, causing the SF 49ers’ Kyle Shanahan to question his team in some way going forward.

Most fans want to celebrate the back-to-back wins for the SF 49ers over the New York Jets and New York Giants following their Week 1 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, but it’s hard to forget the devastating slew of injuries the Niners have endured just three weeks into the season.

Superstar EDGE Nick Bosa and defensive end Solomon Thomas both went down with a torn ACL on the dreaded MetLife turf in Week 2, and they will miss the entirety of the 2020 season.

The team has also endured a slew of short- to medium-length injuries to other key players as well including EDGE Dee Ford, franchise quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, superstar tight end George Kittle and legendary cornerback Richard Sherman. To make matters worse, the 49ers also have been without sophomore wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who is only slated to make a return by Weeks 4 or 5, at best.

Oh, I almost forgot! Running backs Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert were also victims of the MetLife curse against the New York Jets in Week 2, suffering knee injuries, and are slated to continue missing games. Though Mostert may be back sooner than later.

Sure, the massive 36-9 win against the Giants in Week 3, despite all the absences due to injuries, was a fun sight for fans. But it should be noted the Niners have had an easy start to their season, and there are definitely a number of concerns head coach Kyle Shanahan has bouncing around in his head right now.

Let’s talk a little bit about what those may be.
