Today’s NFC West showdown with the Cardinals will kick off on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020, at 4:25 p.m. ET, in Santa Clara, CA. Check out our SF 49ers Week 1 preview articles, including the Niners’ offensive game plan and defensive coordinator Robert Saleh’s plan to stop Cardinals second-year quarterback Kyler Murray.
SF 49ers vs. Cardinals: How to watch
The 49ers’ opening-day matchup with the Cardinals will be broadcast live on television on FOX on the West Coast and in Arizona, and will feature play-by-play announcer Kevin Kugler and color commentator Chris Spielman. Viewers outside these two areas will receive FOX’s featured broadcast: quarterback Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers debut against the New Orleans Saints.
In-market fans can stream the Niners’ game on the FOX Sports App or Website, the 49ers iOS app or 49ers.com, or the Yahoo Sports App. You can also stream the matchup on your phone, computer, or media streaming device with fuboTV’s subscription service, which includes a seven-day trial membership for new subscribers.
All out-of-market viewers can watch via NFL Sunday Ticket on DIRECTV or via the NFL Sunday Ticket app, while college students can purchase access to DIRECTV’s NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV.
The SF 49ers defeated the Cardinals twice in 2019, but both matchups were high-scoring affairs which were too close for comfort for Niner fans. With a year under his belt and the addition of star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray’s progression — or lack thereof — will play a key role in today’s game.
