Which three SF 49ers might be poised for a breakout campaign in 2020?

After a 2019 season that ended just short of a Super Bowl victory, the SF 49ers have Super Bowl-or-bust expectations in the 2020 season. Although they were the best team in the NFC in 2019, they only had four Pro Bowl selections.

This probably has a lot to do with the fact the Niners roster is full of young talented players who haven’t even reached their full potentials. Several players have either struggled with injuries early on in their careers or have simply just not played up to the best of their abilities.

There are varying tiers on the 49ers roster going into 2020. Players like tight end George Kittle and defensive end Nick Bosa have already reached the top of the game at their positions in a short amount of time and are likely still getting better.

Then you have players like linebacker Fred Warner who made the NFL Top 100 this year (No. 70) and defensive lineman Arik Armstead who was ranked just outside of it (No. 104), who already had breakout seasons but are just a few additional stats away from being Pro Bowlers.

However, in the third tier, you have many other SF 49ers who have big chances to prove their worth in 2020. Whether that be due to a key departure or injury within their position group, there will be an opportunity present for many of them.

Who might those players be that will have a breakout season in 2020?

Let’s take a closer look.
