SF Round 4, Pick No. 133 Overall: S Divine Deablo, Virginia Tech

Another player who could easily see his NFL Draft stock rise into the top 100 prospects is Virginia Tech defensive back Divine Deablo.

Deablo, 6-foot-3 and 223 pounds, is the epitome of what many teams are doing with hybrid/safety prospects, not unlike what the Arizona Cardinals got with Clemson’s Isaiah Simmons in this year’s draft. While Deablo’s stock value won’t be anywhere near that of Simmons entering the draft, there’s little questioning his ability to provide a substantial impact at the next level.

Especially considering his abilities against both the run and in pass coverage with the versatility to play over the top as a free safety when called upon.

Entering a zone scheme would also help Deablo a lot, as he’s not the most efficient player in man-coverage schemes and will be prone to giving up the big play.

But considering the SF 49ers are poised to lose veteran strong safety Jaquiski Tartt to free agency this offseason, grabbing someone who could both replace Tartt and fill a variety of roles within the defense would be a huge boost in Round 4.
