No. 2: Ricky Collins Jr. has opted out of his contract after a career year with Edmonton, and the SF 49ers should be giving him a look

Wide receiver Ricky Collins Jr. is fresh off a career year with Edmonton where he posted a career-best 1,103 yards to go along with three touchdowns.

He’s not going to be one to break open-field tackles, but he’s able to hang on to the football and absorb the big hit. In his highlight package, he showcases a lot of speed and the ability to run block, which is extremely important in the Kyle Shanahan system:

Collins Jr. made stops in Winnipeg, B.C., and Saskatchewan in the CFL, while also being in the Green Bay Packers’ training camp back in 2015.

Yet another receiver who could become a household name in the NFL if put in the right situation.
