49ers Tight End George Kittle

Was there ever really a doubt that superstar tight end George Kittle would hold the No. 1 spot on our list? It can’t be denied Kittle may be the biggest player to don the red and gold in the last decade. Kittle is an absolute beast and is considered as the best overall player at his position, which results is not something fans should take lightly.

More from SF 49ers News

Kittle has now registered back-to-back 1000-plus yard receiving seasons and even set the NFL record for most receiving yards by a tight end in the 2018 seasons with 1,377 yards. He has also been named to two Pro Bowls and received two All-Pro selections (one first-team and one second-team appearance), which undeniably makes him the team’s best player.

Kittle not only thrives as a receiver but as an elite blocker as well. His run-blocking ability is at the level of some of the league’s top offensive linemen. Teams would kill for the chance to have a player of Kittle’s elite versatility on their roster. His 95.0 grade in 2019 by Pro Football Focus was the highest grade for any player in the league, which goes to show just how important Kittle is to the franchise and how much everyone thinks so as well.

Kittle also put a lot of fan’s worries to rest when he signed a five-year extension with the 49ers for $75 million, which will tie him to the club through 2025. Kittle will undoubtedly be the anchor for this team in a season that is being dubbed a “Revenge Tour.”

Kittle, in the simplest of terms, is the team’s best player, and there isn’t much to argue that. Hopefully, he topples our expectations again in 2019.
