Who are some players we forgot played on the San Francisco 49ers late in their careers?

NFL players switch teams a whole lot these days. It’s very rare to see one player remain with one team his entire career. Whether via trades or free agency there’s a lot of movement year after year in the league, however.

Certain players are synonymous with one team for the majority of their careers. When they end up on another roster in the twilight of their careers, often get the latter part gets erased from the collective consciousness of fans.

Who actually remembers that defensive back Ronnie Lott was on the New York Jets from 1993 to 1994? Or how about the fact that running back Roger Craig was on the Minnesota Vikings from 1992 to 1993?

I have a feeling most NFL fans have probably subconsciously (or consciously) filed away those years of the two San Francisco 49ers greats in the back of their minds.

They would likely be met with surprise followed by an “Oh yeah that did happen” moment after hearing of their involvement with those two franchises all these years later.

But the fact of the matter is things of that nature happen with many teams. There are a plethora of players who spent multiple seasons with other teams only to appear on the 49ers along the tail ends of their careers.

But chances are you’ve filed these certain players away as a part of Franchise X, and forgot they spent time with the 49ers.

We are back at it again to give you part two of former players you forgot played for the 49ers.
