Missing the cut: Alex Barrett, Darrion Daniels, Kevin Givens, Willie Henry, Kentavius Street, Jonathan Kongbo

Analysis

The crown jewel of the 49ers defense, there should be very few opportunities to break into this talented lineup.

That being said, there is room for someone to sneak in.

Nick Bosa, Javon Kinlaw, Arik Armstead and Dee Ford form the nucleus of the defensive line. Ronald Blair will be the replacement EDGE along with the new addition of Kerry Hyder to finish off the EDGEs.

In the middle, Solomon Thomas is solid as a backup despite not living up to his draft status and will pair with D.J. Jones as the main backups. Jullian Taylor should be the final man in.

The big out here is Kentavius Street who never managed to get his career off the ground. Most of the others will be competing for practice squad opportunities with Darrion Daniels the favorite to get a spot.
