Analysis
There’s a lot to unravel here, with some surprising cuts and a large roster to go through before deciding on who could potentially make it.
The presumptive starting five of Trent Williams, Laken Tomlinson, Weston Richburg, Daniel Brunskill and Mike McGlinchey are all safe. Lock them in.
Justin Skule performed relatively well in relief work at both left and right tackle, and he should be the favorite to edge former swing tackle Shon Coleman at that role with a good camp.
Tom Compton will be a surprising pick given how he could potentially start at right guard. However Daniel Brunskill should be the favorite to start there, and rookie Colton McKivitz looks like he could slide inside to be developed as a guard given he lacks athleticism at the top level. If Richburg has to go on IR or the PUP list with his patella injury from last season, Compton could make the cut.
Ben Garland performed well as the backup for Richburg last year and should be safe.
The rest of those missing the cut will be hoping to find a spot on the practice squad for 2020.
