Fantasy football: Ranking 49ers top 4 options in 2020

No. 1: Tight End George Kittle
Projected 2020 Fantasy Football Points: 228.77
From an overall perspective, George Kittle is the best tight end in the league. There’s no questioning that. But the Chiefs’ Travis Kelce is the better fantasy football option, given Kansas City’s more prolific aerial offense.

But that doesn’t change the fact Kittle is San Francisco’s top offensive threat. And while it would have been impossible for the fourth-year pro to replicate his 2018 record-setting numbers in 2019, the first-team All-Pro still managed an awesome 85 catches for 1,053 yards and team-leading five touchdowns.
And those efforts accounted for 222.5 fantasy points despite Kittle missing two games last year with injuries.
Kittle will be the Niners’ top fantasy pick this season. No questions there. And with Emmanuel Sanders gone, it’s likely the tight end winds up being the No. 1 target for Jimmy Garoppolo early and often throughout the season.
No questions there, either.
It shouldn’t be a shock Kittle has an ADP of 3.01 right now, and that number could be even higher if trends start in the direction of fantasy owners looking to address a still-thin tight end crop entering 2020.
Regardless, fantasy football players will be plenty happy they have the ever-performing Kittle on their rosters.
