Who on the San Francisco 49ers might end up taking home team-honors hardware in 2020?

The San Francisco 49ers are now doing the same as the rest of the NFL teams: waiting to see what happens with the 2020 NFL season.

With rookie minicamps canceled and training camps, especially for California-based teams like the Niners, in flux, there are a lot of unknowns about what this year will look like. That won’t stop us from assuming the season will happen as scheduled, though, and looking forward to who the 49ers’ top performers will be.

After each season, the organization hands out various team awards named after franchise legends like former head coach Bill Walsh, former offensive line coach Bob McKittrick, and Len Eshmont. In 2019, winners of those awards included tight end George Kittle, linebackers Kwon Alexander and Dre Greenlaw, and cornerback Richard Sherman.

Using those awards, and a few others of my own devising, I’ll attempt to predict what kinds of players will be recognized by the 49ers at the end of the 2020 NFL season.
