No. 6: Joe Staley always had a great relationship with the media. From the day he was drafted to the day after his retirement, he was a class act.
One of the toughest aspects of being an athlete is the media obligations. It might seem easy to the naked eye: stand up in front of a microphone on a podium or a group of reporters at your locker stall.
But as we’ve seen since the dawn of media time, many players can’t handle the pressures of the media.
Joe Staley’s personality was made for the spotlight. He was always gracious with his time and had always had a good quote or two.
Here’s a look at Staley’s opening hype video on media day from 2017:

Now you’ve seen the fun side of Staley, let’s take a look at how well he handles humidity.
Spoiler, not very well:
This is one of @maiocconbcs favorite media sessions with @jstaley74 😂 It was after practice in Youngstown, where they practiced between Week 1 in Tampa & Week 2 in CIN. Needless to say it was hot & humid and Joe was clearly over it by the end of the session. Cameo by @gkittle46 pic.twitter.com/QTBaQegwFI
