No. 3: Week 15 @ Dallas Cowboys (Sunday Night Football)

You could make the argument the 49ers’ Week 15 road matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football is a must-win game just because.

Why? Well, Niners and Cowboys. The rivalry. And the fact the last time the 49ers were at AT&T Stadium, this happened:

Unlike the Rams, the Cowboys had an excellent NFL Draft, capped off by the Round 1 steal of getting former Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, a player Kyle Shanahan targeted.

It seems to be the case every year, but 2020 could be the season in which the Cowboys are playoff favorites. The NFC East still isn’t particularly strong. And if the Niners are in a dogfight for playoff positioning, whatever happens on the road in Dallas for Week 15.

Rivalry games are always must-win contests, if for nothing else than bragging rights. Given this one is so late in the year and between two likely playoff contenders, there’s probably going to be a huge deal of importance on the outcome.
