Team needs

The Cincinnati Bengals were always taking quarterback Joe Burrow, so they needed to surround him with talent.

Defensively, they needed linebacker upgrades, especially to help stop Lamar Jackson, as well as defensive back depth.

2020 NFL Draft class

  • No.1: Joe Burrow, Quarterback, LSU
  • No. 33: Tee Higgins, Wide Receiver, Clemson
  • No. 65: Logan Wilson, Linebacker, Wyoming
  • No. 107: Akeem Davis-Gaither, Linebacker, Appalachian State
  • No. 147: Khalid Kareem, EDGE, Notre Dame
  • No. 180: Hakeem Adeniji, Guard, Kansas
  • No. 215: Markus Bailey, Linebacker, Purdue

Draft review:

The Bengals took Burrow, of course, and gave him a weapon in Tee Higgins and a potential starter at guard in Hakeem Adeniji.

Meanwhile the Bengals have gone all out at linebacker to try to contain Jackson, Logan Wilson standing out as a particular steal.

This was a nice blend of pieces around Burrow and defensive pieces to help them move up the division. I really like this class.
