No. 4: CB Lamar Jackson, Nebraska
Nebraska cornerback Lamar Jackson has the height (6-foot-2) and length the Niners’ coaching staff seems to covet in the team’s Cover 3 zone-style scheme.
He uses that length to get receivers off their routes and is also a willing tackler in space, and he displays good tracking and ball skills. Jackson’s contested-catch ability translates well for red-zone situations.
The only concern with Jackson at this point is if he will last until the 49ers pick in the sixth round.
