No. 5: OL Charlie Heck, North Carolina

Standing tall at 6-foot-8 and weighing 309 pounds, North Carolina offensive tackle Charlie Heck is tall and thick, yet has excellent mobility.

He functions well moving laterally with more than adequate foot speed. He is also able to get out in space. Heck also comes from a football background as his father, Andy Heck, has been a longtime coach in both NFL and college ranks.

The younger Heck is physical and battles well to open lanes and uses arm length to keep pass-rushers at a distance.

Even after the 49ers traded for the Redskins’ Trent Williams, Heck could still be a solid rotational piece with eventual starter capability.
