Day one of the 2020 NFL Draft is on the books and the San Francisco 49ers made two key picks. But the second day is just as, if not more, important to building an elite NFL team. Here are some players the Niners should target on day two if they can.

Well, it’s over. Round one of the first-ever virtual NFL Draft is in the books. This was a much-needed break from the monotony of quarantine. The San Francisco 49ers made two trades, first trading down one pick from No. 13 overall with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to grab South Carolina defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw while wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and CeeDee Lamb were still available, and then trading up with the Minnesota Vikings for the 25th pick to select wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk of Arizona State.

So, the Niners have addressed two needs, wide receiver and defensive tackle, but there are still two more days left in the draft.

That’s right everyone, we get two more days of something live and related to sports on TV! Enjoy.

Currently, the 49ers do not have any picks in Rounds 2 or 3 on day two of the draft. But as they showed tonight, they are not afraid to trade to get the player they want.

Getting aggressive and somehow working back into day two of the NFL Draft won’t be easy. It’ll all but certainly require dipping into some of the team’s 2021 draft-pick stockpile, or potentially moving one of the Niners’ on-roster players as compensation. Yet there’s always a chance something of the sort takes place.

If it does, and San Francisco wants back in on day two, here are some potential players the Niners could target on day two of the draft. For research, I’ve used The Athletic’s Dane Brugler’s 2020 NFL Draft Guide.
