879. . Linebacker. Tigers . Isaiah Simmons. 8. player

Another player who would be a steal at this point, Clemson linebacker/safety Isaiah Simmons makes a lot of sense for the Arizona Cardinals who are desperate for linebacker prospects. They desperately need better coverage for the middle of the field.

Simmons is listed as a linebacker, but that’s almost an insult to what he can do. Simmons can play pretty much anywhere at linebacker or in the secondary, and can even shift to an EDGE to get to the quarterback.

I can’t stress enough how versatile Simmons is. He’s such a hard hitter at linebacker or safety, and he’s honestly the best prospect at both positions. He’s a good tackler and adept in coverage, and he has the arms and pass-rushing moves to work on the defensive line, too.

Like Derrick Brown, Simmons should be a more serious candidate for the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft than he actually is.

He’s going to be a steal for whoever takes him.
